Procedural Writing
As part of our writing for Term 1, we looked at inspiration from summer and our school leadership camp. Here are some writing from Room 1 students.
Recipe For Summer
Take some sunscreen, only a drip.
Mix with water quickly.
Boil it to make it warm and bubbly.
Take some blinding light and chuck in some sand. Place in some delicious ice cream.
Mix it slowly to make it nice and creamy.
Let it set over Autumn.
Expand over Winter.
Form life in Spring.
Then enjoy in Summer.

A Recipe For Camp...
Pre-heat the oven to 20 degrees celsius.
In a large mixing bowl.
Pour in 5 tablespoons of sunscreen.
Next, place in a small fraction of sunburn.
Stir slowly, while adding excitement.
Until mixture is combined in a different bowl.
Mix in 4 and ½ cups of teamwork and a pair of pajamas.
Next, combine the two mixtures.
Place in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
Take it out and let it cool for 30 mins.
Then enjoy the lovely taste of fresh mountain walks and the smell of the sweat running down
